چکیده
Abstract Heat-treated FeCo-based magnetic alloys were characterized using a suite of electron microscopy techniques to gain insight into their structural properties. Electron channeling contrast imaging (ECCI) in the scanning microscope (SEM) found unique grains towards outer edge FeCo sample with nonuniform background contrast. High-magnification ECCI these revealed weblike network defects that not observed standard uniform grains. High-resolution backscattered diffraction (HR-EBSD) confirmed defect structures be dislocation networks and additionally subgrain boundaries within The content suggests they are unrecrystallized grains, can used as rapid method quantify To demonstrate garnered via on was imaged before after micro indentation. This experiment showed slip bands propagate throughout material until interacting networks, suggesting specific provide barrier plastic deformation. Taken together, results show how better understand failure mechanisms provides further evidence play critical role brittle alloys.

متن کاملNear equiatomic FeCo alloys: constitution, mechanical and magnetic properties
Alloys based on the near-equiatomic FeCo offer exceptional magnetic properties. The equiatomic alloy was ‘invented’ in 1929, it offers a saturation hardly lower than that of the maximum obtained for Fe-0.35Co, with higher permeability and a lower coercivity than the latter. However, this alloy remained without industrial application, mainly because of its extreme brittleness. Only with the addi...
متن کاملThermoelectricity and disorder of FeCo/MgO/FeCo magnetic tunnel junctions
We compute the thermoelectric transport parameterized by the Seebeck coefficient and thermal/electric conductance of random-alloy FeCo/MgO/FeCo(001) magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) from first principles using a generalized Landauer-Büttiker formalism. The thermopower is found to be typically smaller than those of Fe/MgO/Fe(001) MTJs. The (magneto-)Seebeck effect is sensitive to the details of ...
متن کاملProduction and Characterization of Nano Crystalline Fe85Si10Ni5 Soft Magnetic Alloys by Mechanical Alloying
Abstract There are various methods to produce iron based nano crystalline magnetic alloys. Among these methods, mechanical alloying is one of the most important. In this research, nano crystalline Fe85Si10Ni5 soft magnetic alloy was synthesized by mechanical alloying. The effect of alloying time on phase constituents and magnetic properties of the produced powders was investigated, by X-ray di...
متن کاملSpin-polarized electron tunneling in bcc FeCo/MgO/FeCo(001) magnetic tunnel junctions.
In combining spin- and symmetry-resolved photoemission, magnetotransport measurements and ab initio calculations we detangled the electronic states involved in the electronic transport in Fe(1-x)Co(x)(001)/MgO/Fe(1-x)Co(x)(001) magnetic tunnel junctions. Contrary to previous theoretical predictions, we observe a large reduction in TMR (from 530 to 200% at 20 K) for Co content above 25 atomic% a...
